"The induction of Dresden in the Global Network of Learning Cities is of immense value for our city. It opens up exciting perspectives. We see ourselves as active participants, convinced that the exchanges within the network can further strengthen our diverse educational landscape. From early childhood education to comprehensive continuing education programs, we offer a wide range of learning opportunities for people of all ages and social backgrounds. With the ongoing development of the comprehensive concept of lifelong learning in Dresden, we are particularly committed to a holistic educational approach, with a focus on strengthening non-formal learning environments. Our goal is clear: to make education accessible to all and prevent disadvantages. Through exchanges within the network, we aim to learn from other learning cities nationwide and worldwide, share our exemplary practices, and jointly develop innovative solutions. Dresden is motivated and ready to actively contribute to the advancement of lifelong learning and looks forward to fruitful cooperation within the Global Network of Learning Cities."
